Rupert Everett Gets Part in Film

The New Zealand Herald reports that Rupert Everett has been tapped to be the voice of the computer-animated fox in the upcoming Narnia film The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. In the book, the fox is one of the guests at a forbidden Christmas party.

Rupert Everett played the voice of Prince Charming in Shrek 2 and has also starred in The Importance of Being Earnest and My Best Friend’s Wedding.

The New Zealand Herald writes:

FOX VOX: With filming about to start for director Andrew Adamson on his adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, there’s been another star added to the cast – sort of. Colourful British actor Rupert Everett will be the voice of the Fox, one of the CGI-animated characters in the story. Everett’s dulcet tones can, of course, already be heard as the voice of Prince Charming in Adamson’s Shrek 2.
