Disney Hints At Narnia Theme Park

Robert Iger, president and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Co., said the Orlando area will be the beneficiary as Walt Disney World Resort continues to grow through its synergy with animated and live-action films. Iger hinted that the 2005 live-action film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” could be the next successful film product to translate into a theme park product. The second “Narnia” film, based on a series of books by C.S. Lewis, is in pre-production. “One of the things we do when we create a Disney film is we create a franchise,” Iger said.
