Casting Rumor: Is Greta Gerwig Eyeing Mikey Madison for Narnia?
Fresh off her Academy Award win for her performance in ‘Anora’, The Hollywood Reporter notes that Mikey Madison is garnering offers and interest from major studios and directors—including ‘Narnia’ director Greta Gerwig:
Madison may not have announced her post-Oscars project just yet, but her name is at the top of studios’ and directors’ wish lists, with offers for a Colleen Hoover adaptation and interest from the likes of Greta Gerwig.
Though THR does not specify which project Gerwig has in mind for Madison, we know she is currently casting for her upcoming Narnia film for Netflix. However, it’s also possible that Gerwig is considering Madison for a non-Narnia role in the future.
Last month, NarniaWeb first reported that a casting call had gone out to schools and drama agencies in the UK looking for “two children, a boy and a girl, to portray characters that are 10 or 11 years old.” which would align with the ages of Digory and Polly in The Magician’s Nephew.

I don’t think Mikey is going to be in Narnia, but maybe a different Greta film, Greta made it clear that “ Narnia is like Shakespeare, and not our countrymen” , hence will use British and maybe Irish actors like the Harry Potter films
I’m sure just like she wrote Narnia before Barbie, she probably has written other scripts and maybe even the Sacramento trilogy she spoke of when releasing Lady Bird.

We’ve seen plenty of actresses eager to work with Gerwig, so it’s noteworthy that the situation appears to be the opposite here.
I haven’t seen any of Madison’s films, but if she’s being considered for Narnia, I suspect it would be for a major role — not just a small cameo or a talking animal.
