Universal Picks Up Mark Gordon’s Steve Jobs Film
The Silver Chair co-producer Mark Gordon’s Steve Jobs film has been picked up by Universal Pictures. Based on the life of the Apple founder, the movie will be directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, Social Network, Gone Girl) and star Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave, X-Men: Days of Future Past). The project has been stuck in the development stages for some time now. ComingSoon observes that “Universal has a history of picking up trouble projects from other studios” as they did with the Dumb and Dumber To recently. Read more.
Wondering if Universal could end up being involved with the SC movie. Hmmmmm.
Huh, that's intriguing. I wonder if Silver Chair would be a property that Universal Pictures would be interested in… and if so, how their involvement might affect the tone and style of the film. Hmm.
Universal has a history of picking up trouble projects from other studios. Hmmmm. Would be nice if Universal can pick up SC. It would be great for the Narnia films to be with that studio, they would do so much with it. I mean did anyone else see the Jurassic World trailer today? I think yes.
That is really quite interesting. I do not know if I would like Universal to be involved or not at this point.
I didnt realize Mark Gordon was involved in this movie. The ComingSoon article was the first time I've seen his name attached in any articles… I guess he always gets overshadowed.
I'm pretty sure we're still a while away from a distributor but I would not mind if Universal jumped on board, in the slightest. But at this point I'm willing to give any studio a shot. As long as it's just a distributor.
Well at this point, no. I don't want any studio exectives getting their sticky paws all over the script. But at a later date, sure, go ahead with Universal.

Well, that's intriguing. *crosses fingers*
I hope that SC won't look fake. Anything would be better than it looking fake.
Very interesting. Universal is the oldest film studio. They could do good.
