Ken Stott Lands a Role in The Hobbit
Ken Stott, who voiced Trufflehunter in Prince Caspian, has landed a role in The Hobbit where he will play Balin, one of the dwarves in Thorin’s company. You can check out TheOneRing.net’s exclusive casting announcement here.
AWESOME!!!!! Ken Scott is Gimli's cousin Balin!!!!! I can't wait to see this movie! I hope it will be just like the book. 🙂
Nice!! Congrats Ken!!
Great! Although I haven't seen him perform anything other than Trufflehunter, I'm sure he'll do awesome. I'm so excited for the Hobbit films! But, of course, VDT is just a *bit* closer to being released… =P
Oh, yay! I LOVE the Hobbit, and he was so cute as Trufflehunter! I'm sure he'll do a nice job as Balin!
Cool! I just saw the Lord of the Rings for the first time and it was awsome! I saw the Extended version so it was like 3 hours per movie, but it was sooo cool. Legolas and Gimli were so funny; and so was Pip and Merry! I sure this will be great!
Awesome!!! That will be a great role for him!!! I loved The Hobbit!!! I think I've read it two times… Hahaha
The Hobbit is probably in my top 10 list of books, I can't wait to see it…although Narnia comes first 😉
how cool! Balin is the cousin that Gimli talks about in Lord of the Rings, and Ken Scott is going to play him! Lord of Moria! again, how cool 😀
thats awesome, NarnianRebel 😀 we own the extended versions, and i watch them at least 10 times in a year, thats how much i love them 😛 and yes, Gimli and Legolas are like the best characters. so funny! its so cute how they start out hating eachother, and throughout the story they grow to become very close friends. its so sweet! and the comedy between them is so rich 😀
SWEET! That's great. Peter Jackson, you rock! I can look forward to the Hobbit with no fear! Sweet! Trufflehunter? Balin? Like YEAH! That's great because Lewis and Tolkien are friends! The connection is great! =D
Peter Jackson just has this knack for telling stories! 🙂
I am very afraid though that if I went to a theater and Silver Chair was out with the first Hobbit movie, I would *so* watch The Hobbit over SC… but then turn right around and by a ticket for SC because I love SC so much. But Middle-Earth has slightly more presidence over Narnia, though I love both dearly 😉
I've read it six times 🙂
