Australian Stan Walker Performs His Narnian Song, “Stand Up”

The music video for “Stand Up”, a song by Australian Stan Walker for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, has hit the web. He’s using the same stage that Joe, Victoria, and Sonohra used to perform their songs. And it doesn’t look like this video has any new clips that we haven’t seen before, but it’s still well worth watching!

Thanks to Daniel James for the heads up!

  2. Wiglaf says:

That is a really cool stage! :O lol. Is this in the movie??

  3. Movie Aristotle says:

I'd love to read the lyrics. The video looks pretty cool.

  4. Starlily says:

Is this going to be in the movie? If so, where?

There might be a couple shots in the video that we haven't seen before, but only a couple. Maybe the one where Lucy whirls around, and the one with Dragon Eustace spinning?

Meh, I'm not into this kind of music. But I guess it could be worse. πŸ™‚

I think the vid is probably the same πŸ™‚

i dont really care for this one.the song is kinda boring and is not very narnia like.they should come up with a song that sends chills down my spine and puts a smile on peoples face and makes them think about narnia, this one failed miserably.i like carries and joes much better!!!!!

  7. campgirl says:

I like Joe, the Italians, and Carrie better, but this isn't bad. I don't usually listen to this kind of music. It's cool πŸ™‚

  8. Samuel the Magnificent says:

I hated this song. Boring and annoying. Sorry if I offended anyone that likes it. I think I've see too much footage πŸ™

  9. i love narnia says:

i love this song the most too. some people are seriously trippin if you hate it.

  10. Yes it does! There are like three more of the fight between Eustace and the Sea Serpent!
But anyway, I didn't like this song at all. I could name some people I know who might, but I hated it. It just didn't seem to fit Narnia. Good effort though, the guy is a good singer.

  11. Music From The Heart says:

I like it! Not exactly my style, but he might get me more interested! awesome lyrics. I think this song captures the heart of the story. πŸ™‚

  12. Did Joe McElderry have a music video for There's A Place For Us?! Because I never saw it.

    Cool…

  14. jordanjay29 says:

The style difference between the piano/strings and the hand drums is killing me. Did all the good rock or acoustic musicians throw their lot in for the "Music Inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia" album?

  15. Andreya of Narnia says:

Sadly, I found this very tedious and discordant. The words did not seem to fit the story well, let alone seem Narnian. Sorry if I've insulted anyone with my opinion, but those are my thoughts on the song.

  16. Narniamaniac says:

I think the guy had a nice voice, and I don't mind the song as an independent song, but I don't like it for Narnia. I'm so used to the same type of music or lyrics for Narnia songs, and I think this was just too different for me. It wasn't a bad song, though.

  17. Fire Fairy says:

It was okay, but I just didn't see the connection to Narnia at all. It was like they just took this song and attached some Narnia footage to it. Not bad, but not the greatest.

  18. High Queene Shelly Belly says:

exactly! what the heck does this generic love song have to do with narnia?

  19. Kiwi says:

    Er, he's a New Zealander……

  20. Reepicheep says:

At least he didn't do his vocal Olympics in this song. I mean, that's not singing!

  21. simplyphilly says:

This kind of music is best played loud.

  22. Not Of This World says:

    My thoughts exactly.

  23. campgirl says:

I don't know if he did a music video for it but he has performed "There's a Place For Us" (at the London premiere and at Regent Street, ex.) Here's a video from when he sang at Regent Street:

When I said I liked his better, I meant "Someone Wake Me Up". He did do a music video for that song, and it had some narnia clips in it (like Carrie and Sonohra's "..Place for Us", and "Stand Up")

    Hope that helped πŸ˜›

THIS SONG HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NARNIA!

Lol, sorry i'm just being everyone who commented on Joe's video. I love Fox's twist on the credit songs and choosing a different artist for each country. I love that idea. I also like how they bring out a single with the ending song aswell.

  25. Adam says:

don't like this song at all.. ewwww

  26. Verna says:

I cant believe you cant see the connection to Narnia. The songs about choosing between good and evil, right and wrong, duty and peer pressure. Its haunting and clever. Love it!!!

  27. Verna says:

vocal Olympics?? this guy can sing!! His range is truly insane!! this is him using a litte bit of his so-called vocal olympics…and you say thats not singing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42indxOIzQU&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1

  28. Dahs says:

I flipin Love this song! πŸ˜€ Soo want to read the lyrics πŸ˜€

  29. narnianheart says:

i don't really like his voice. but i like the song!
