Carrie Underwood Performs ‘Dawn Treader’ Song in NYC
Carrie Underwood performed “There’s a Place for Us”, the credits song for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, at a special concert last week at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City. You can see her performance here. The performance aired on TV during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Thanks to Regina and narnian15 for the heads up!
gooodd
Has anyone noticed that the audience at concerts wherever this song is sung seems to love it, but we overall, as fans, are very cautious about it?
I hear some struggling with those high notes
As a fan of Carrie's, I know "anything" she sings is great!! No need for me as a fan to be "cautious"
Best Narnia song by a mile!!! Carrie has enough star power to hopefully help promote the movie. Plus, she gets enough attention that may make this a OSCAR winning song. I heard from people who actually went and seen this performance and they said she blew the roof off the house.. That everyone was crying and it was just a real spiritual moment.
Just read… that thanks to Carrie Underwood CBS won the ratings for the macy's thanksgiving parade for the first time 25 years!! Her performance of this song, was the highest ratings of the whole morning (Besides football).
I don't really like it. But hey! I didn't like 'Wunderkind' either now I love it.
the part when she sang "exactly who we are" is intended, as it's softer in the first 2 chorus and strong in the 3rd… like in the studio version. Carrie never struggles with high notes.
That's so cool that already so many people know the words and were singing along. This will definitely help Narnia out!!
