Lucy and Edmund walk into the Scrubb’s house. Harold is reading the paper.
Lucy: We’re home!

Lucy and Edmund are in Lucy’s bedroom. Lucy’s looking into a mirror.
Edmund: Lucy, have you seen this ship before?
Lucy: It’s very Narnian isn’t it?
Eustace walks into the room.
Eustace: What’s going on here?
Lucy: Edmund the painting!
Eustace runs to tear the painting from the wall.
Edmund: No Eustace no!

The bedroom fills with water and all three swim to the surface. As Lucy arrives at the top, she sees the Dawn Treader approaching.
Lucy: Edmund!
Caspian and Lucy are pulled from the water.
Everyone now aboard the deck, Caspian addresses his crew.
Caspian: Behold our castaways, King and Queen of Narnia.
The crew kneels before them.
Lucy: Reepicheep!
Reepicheep: Your majesties!

Eustace throwing a temper tantrum screams at the crew as they stand around smirking.
Eustace: Where in the blazes am I?
Tavros the Minotaur: You’re on the Dawn Treader.
Eustace takes one look at the minotaur and faints. The crew laughs.
Tavros to Rynelf: Was it something I said?

FROM C.S. LEWIS’S EPIC MASTERPIECE

Caspian, Lucy, Edmund, Eustace, and Reepicheep sail through the sea of lilies where they arrive on the shore before the edge of the world. A giant wave is in the background as they greet Aslan.
Lucy: Aslan.
Aslan: You have come far. Your adventure begins now.

A water nymph leaps out of the water in front of the ship.

Caspian, Edmund, and Lucy look up into the sky as a brilliant blue light descends upon them.
Lucy: Look!
The light transforms into Lilliandril.
Lilliandril: Travelers of Narnia, I am your guide.
Caspian: You are most beautiful.
Lilliandril: If it is a distraction for you, I-I can change forms.
Caspian and Edmund: No!
Caspian and Edmund look at each other. Lucy looks at them and rolls her eyes.

Coriakin throws a map across the room in his library.
Coriakin: There is the source of your trouble.
The white witch appears as a phantom in green smoke.
Edmund: You mean a witch?
Coriakin walks around looking at Edmund.
Coriakin: Something far more powerful than a witch.
Green smoke crawls down the stairs and seeps into the room.
Coriakin: It can steal the light from this world.
Lucy: How do we stop it?
Coriakin points at Edmund.
Coriakin: That sword you carry must be laid at Aslan’s table.
Shot of Edmund drawing a sword in a cave.
Shot of everyone walking around Aslan’s table. A great feast sits on it.
Coriakin: Only then can their true power be released.
Seven swords sit on Aslan’s table. They glow blue and then a great beam of light shoots up into the air.
Coriakin: You are all about to be tested.

The Dawn Treader approaches the Dark Island.
Green smoke crawls onto the ship.
The White Witch: Edmund, come with me. I can make you my king, and much more.
The White Witch reaches out to Edmund.
The White Witch: My King.
Lucy: NOO!!!
Caspian: EDMUND!
The sword Edmund is holding glows blue.

Reepicheep soaking wet in a rainstorm clings to the ship.
Reepicheep: Onward to our destiny!

Drinian, Tavros, and Edmund stand at the helm of the Dawn Treader.
Tavros: What do you think is in there?
Sailors row boats towards Ramandu’s Island.
Someone (Drinian or Rynelf?): Things you can barely imagine.

Lucy walks through a doorway and as it closes becomes invisible on the island.

Shot of the Dawn Treader from above with Drinian at the helm and the crew standing around.

Shot of Lilliandril.
Lilliandril: The fate of Narnia depends on you.
Lilliandril turns back into a star and shoots up into the air.

Lucy looks down at a book with a bunch of jumbled letters. Blowing the dust off, it turns into The Book of Incantations. Lucy smiles. The book is opened and pages are turning rapidly. Lucy slams her hand down on the book. The next moment it is snowing and Lucy looks around smiling.

Dragon Eustace flies overhead.

Caspian addressing the crew. The crew shouts “For Narnia!”

Caspian and the others battle the slavers in the bell tower.

Dragon Eustace flies over the volcanic island below.

The sea serpent erupts out of the ocean. The Dawn Treader lists to one side and the crew falls backwards. The sea serpent roars. Lucy aims an arrow.

Dragon Eustace flies over the Dawn Treader. One of the fauns does a somersault across the deck.

Eustace is surrounded by jumping Dufflepuds.

Reepicheep climbs the mast of the Dawn Treader and looks out from the crows nest and smiles.

Lucy, surrounded by Caspian, Edmund, Eustace and Aslan, kneels down to say goodbye to Reepicheep.

The sea serpent goes to attack Eustace as a dragon, and Eustace breaths fire back at the sea serpent.

Aslan roars.

Final credits.

Thanks adamie for the alert!

FANTASTIC! This will be a thrilling and fun ride! Who cares about that slow and boring book hey… πŸ˜‰

  2. Bookwyrm says:

And then there's the part where it is revealed all of Narnia is about to collapse into Bism and only the magic of this movie's MacGuffins can save Narnia from a fiery fate!

  3. Bookwyrm says:

Eh, just going to post the link to my review. It's a little long to repost here.

Yes, the stroy is about finding your true home, and that's the part I'm mot anxious about. But please do remember the "home finding" is an underlying theme, not the driving plot. It wan't that in the book either. In it they were trying to find seven lords because Caspian felt it was his honor. Now, they're still trying to find the seven lords. Only the motive has changed.

I know the motive has big impact on the overall film, because it changes the point of focus and the feeling of the story, but it isn't that huge a change from the original plot. And it's also probably the part the studios wanted to change, not Apted.

It's much bigger a change if the "finding yourself" theme doesn't resemble "finding where you belong" at all. They are connected, you know. As I've said before, I've found my true self to be child of God, and therefore realized my true home it with Him in His eternal land, not on this mortal Earth.

I AM dissapointed though. And I understand you guys are. VDT is the best of the books, and I had high hopes it would stand out from the general fantasy movies too. But this still looks pretty cool to me. (Expect the dragon. It's weird and ugly, from the clips I can see.)

  5. Mirima Rosetrader says:

I feel the same way. I'm excited about the movie despite it being different from the book. πŸ™‚ But also it seems like VDT was the only book in the whole series that didn't have children from our world coming to save Narnia. I hope it turns out well. πŸ™‚ That was so funny when Eustace fainted! πŸ˜€ Long live Aslan! Sail on VDT!

  6. Sarah says:

<Grin> I've never been recognized before! Yes, that is my etsy shop! Two of my favorite sites: Narniaweb and Etsy!

  7. Griffle says:

I'll see it opening day, in 3D, no matter what, but there are some really disturbing things in this trailer. Why would Edmund be tempted by the witch for instance? He "had that sorted" in PC, remember? And the swords…I understand why you felt it needed that FOX, but it feels all wrong to me. Why do they need these swords? We have Aslan!

  8. CEP Paul T says:

    Looks absolutely great. πŸ˜€

  9. Rosie says:

People are going over the fact with its ruining the book.
I for one, find the trailer very amazing, and just love it to bits.
The book and the movie will always be two different things.
You will find one film to be almost exact like the book, others, not so much.
I could easily list the films who are far from the title they hold from a book. But people shouldn't let it bother them.

Because we will ALWAYS have the book to go back to. I think VDT will be a great movie, even if it won't follow completely of the storyline of the book. And even if it does, I still have the book to fall back on and be like "Yes, the movie was good. But the books is far better."

  10. It looks good to me and I'm very excited to see the movie. I've read the books since the 80's. I know changes bother a lot of Narnia die hards. Not me. If it stays true to the spirit of the book it's okay. It looks good to me and I've read the books since the 80's and still do till this day. Changes are bound to happen. It's Hollywood.

  11. QStheG says:

    I'm crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  12. NarnianRebel says:

I know! But if you take another look at the trailer you can see that when the witch says "Edmund i can make you my king," His clothes/hair is dry and it looks like he is in the middle of the ship. But in the next scene when she says my "my king" He is all wet and it looks like he is on one side of the ship. There are a couple other things I could say to prove my point but I won't in case you don't like spoilers. I just think they are mixing up 4 or 5 different scenes.

  13. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

Somehow this trailer made me feel better about the film. Yes, there are things that bother me, but there were many things that I loved. Oh, and it LOOKS awesome!

  14. T.T says:

Remember, at the end of prince caspian THE MOVIE, caspian did not make any promise. Now imagine, people who have not read the books and only watch the movies would be lyk 'eeeeh, where did dat promise come from' and besides i wasn't ruling out the issue of promise altogether. it's a movie, there should be continuity, u just don't dump information at viewers and leave them to answer the what, when, where questions dat come up. The movie is meant for those who have read the book and does who haven't.That's d way i see it.

  15. Carrie says:

Wow watching this makes me shiver with delight and disappointment!

  16. JProctor says:

I am not a big fan of the new plot either, but first of all if you are expecting any movie to be exactly like the book you will be disappointed every time. Secondly, they have to add something which ties it all together. Or else it would almost be just like separate episodes of visiting different islands. Something has to bring it together.

  17. JProctor says:

I think it looks great. Its just stupid how some people get so worked up when there are things different. Its not the end of the world nor is it going to ruin the story. Sometimes changes are good. C.S. Lewis wasn't perfect.

  18. JustANarnianFanFromEngland says:

First, may I point out you have put enpugh. I think you mean enough and two even though I can't say I'm not dissapointed too we kinda new they were gonna change it.

  19. JustANarnianFanFromEngland says:

No I we kinda KNEW they were gonna change it.

  20. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

That's kind of how I feel. Although more with delight than disappointment.

  21. DragonGirl28 says:

OH MY WORD!!! This is awesome! I think it's way better than the first trailer…anyone else think so?

  22. sirsimon says:

I am a bit disappointed by the story changes, but this film is to entertain not a graphical comparision to its original form.
For me the trailer is amazing, and casts asides doubts on visuals and characters.
but they had to make the plot translatable to the screen, if it was too similar, it would be episodic and slightly tedious.

Yes, I think that the seven swords thing is odd, and the witch being there is terrible, but as a Narnia fan, I will see this movie and I will enjoy, because at least they are still looking for the lords.

I think this film will be good, if I enjoyed Prince Caspian, then this is simply icing on a cake

  23. Pepper Darcy says:

*GASP* I almost cried at how desperate Lucy cried 'No!' It's so sad and desperate! *gasp* THIS IS AWESOME! OOH I'm going to cry like a baby in this movie!! πŸ˜€ SO love this. The sea monster looks awesome. So does the Dragon! πŸ™‚ Ha, ha, Eustace fainted! Everything looks fantastic

  24. HighQueenofNarnia says:

I was so depressed by the transcript that I haven't even watched the trailer. At one point I literally said, "Oh, no." This is not that great at all. I'm sure the trailer is superb (mostly), but if the essence of the book is lost, what use is that?
I will watch the trailer once I get into better spirits. And probably will have something positive to say about it. But right now I am really depressed.

P.S. If Edmund is portrayed this way, his character is going to die a slow and painful death. Edmund is the /redeemed/ one. He knows firsthand how evil the Witch is. He would not give in to her. Now if she attacked him, that'd be a different story. But production picked the worst possible temptation for Edmund, I think. If it were Caspian, I might not mind so much, but EDMUND?! That just does not make sense.
I think I'll watch the trailer now. Maybe something good will come out of it.

  25. JustANarnianFanFromEngland says:

Ha ha! Finally somthing good. My Mum says she hates it when they change the story and I agree but atleast its better than infomation past. The White Witch should definatly not be in it but she has not got as bigger part as I thought. I am so excited! πŸ˜€

  26. Rilianluvr4evr says:

OMG the theme!!!!! The first thing that I heard when I started the trailer was the musical theme, and I must say thats what stayed with me. I was so afraid they weren't gonna include it, and I was so happy that they actually did that all the plot changes failed to bother me…much.
I have to say though the whole seven swords thing, well, "Seven for the Dwarf lords in their halls of stone…" nuff said

  27. sirsimon says:

Don't worry, it will be fine

Yes, I agree the witch thing is terrible, but I think that we all are going to be surprised.
The witch will only be in the film for two minutes, Tilda Swinton told us so.

  28. sirsimon says:

I agree with you Bookwyrm, I think we are all over reacting, I bet most of us will be leaving the cinema pleasantly surprised.
By the way the Eustace dragon looks like that cause he looks like that in the book

  29. sirsimon says:

If you dont like the look of the film, then dont watch it, I for one, as a true Narnia fan is working to make sure the box office goes well and that all seven books will be made

  30. Anna's Sister says:

Wow, best trailer yet! It actually gives you a hint to what the film will be like.
I'm not sure what I think about the plot change though. I'll just have to wait for the movie.

  31. Muttly says:

Haven't you ever read the books????? They ARE one and the same!!!!

  32. Muttly says:

I agree!!! i want to see all 7 books made into movies!!! They are doing an AWESOME JOB!!! Way to go!!! W00T W00T!!

  33. Queen Elizabeth says:

This is amazing! Sure some of it is dissapointing, but for those odd fans that only see the movies this will be a delight to all! Ed looks fantastic, and Lucy is so dramatic. This is my favorite part lol

Lilliandil: If it's a distraction I can change form

    Ed and Caspian: NO!

hahah makes me laugh every time.

  34. QueenLucy12 says:

    Yeah That was SOOOOO FUNNY!!!

  35. QueenLucy12 says:

YES!!!! I Know I'm going to LOVE LOVE LOVE This Movie!!! I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BONES!!! *Eeeeeeep!! deep breaths, in.. and out. in… and… out*

  36. Bookwyrm says:

Haven't *you* ever read the books? They are not the same.

  37. Narnia Freak says:

Eustace as the dragon in So AWESOME! I'm a little worried about the seven swords though…

  38. Mr. Anderson says:

FINALLY. My hope for this movie has been restored! It doesn't look *great* (stupid plot changes…ack) but from all the trailers and posters and whatever other promotional material we've been getting up to this point, my hopes for the movie had all but vanished. It looked seriously terrible, in my opinion. This this trailer…wow. I have hope once again! πŸ˜€

  39. brandon says:

THIS IS AWESOME,NOW I'M REALLY PUMPED FOR THE FILM'S DEBUT!!!!

  40. Samuel the Maginficent says:

I think it's a good thing they changed it. They're still keeping all the same storyline's from the book, but since its a movie and lots of people that haven't read the book are goingn to be watching this, they have to add a plot line that really interests the viewers.

  41. Mr. Anderson says:

Oh, come on, that's not the ONLY similarity. There was water in the book, too, I'm sure of it!

  42. Bookwyrm says:

Oh, please. Don't even start tossing around that passive aggressive "true fan" crap. None of the purists is strutting around talking about how they're better fans than the people who are ecstatic over VDT, so why do you think it's okay to do it?

  43. blueRain says:

I loved seeing the Dawn Treader on the water.

  44. McGunn says:

Isn't the witch's eyes green at the end of LWW too? In the great final battle? Even though I understand why she might be Edmund's worst nightmare, I find it a bit unnecessary to add her into the VDT too…

  45. wolfloversk says:

YAAAAA They kept the music, I saw trhe sea serpent (Maybe I can get over the plot changes) I'm excited

  46. Lulu says:

Now thats more like it SOOOO excited to see the movie now and also the witch appearing makes perfect sense to me now

  47. kirst says:

I do wish they'd stuck to the mission being to find the missing lords, rather than "swords unleashing magic", but still – this looks like it will be a good movie! I hope πŸ™‚

  48. kirst says:

    same here!

  49. Narnia Freak says:

The minotaur is plastic or puppet looking. I don't know if I like that.

  50. narnian resident says:

o my goodness o my goodness o my goodness!!! this is amazing!!! i am really impressed! and i just love the part with Caspian and Edmund saying no to Lilliandil XD

  51. Laylanarnia fan says:

    AWESOME !!!!
    3 MONTHS !!!!
    πŸ™‚
    πŸ™‚
    LOVE NARNIA

  52. Son of Rillian says:

ahahahahahahaha Eustace fainted, i love that.

  53. TumnusTheBrave says:

ROFL at eustace fainting. So funny when caspian and edmund both say no when ramundu's daughter asks if she should change forms then lucy rolls her eyes πŸ˜€

  54. Bertman316 says:

I just can't wait. I'm resolved to the fact that a book is not a movie and a movie cannot be the same as a book. I'm looking for a wonderful movie that captures the spirit and basic story that Lewis meant to tell – I hope this will do that.

  55. GlimGlum says:

Me two or three). πŸ˜€ I also liked seeing more of the Dawn Treader's crew. πŸ™‚

  56. Manuel says:

    ThatΒ΄s the right attitude πŸ™‚

  57. [ForNarniaAndForAslan] says:

Hey, if you look really closely at the picture of the swords crossed (either pic 47 or 49) you can see the Witch's Knife from the Stone Table off to the right. That was in the book. I'm glad they have that in here. =)

  58. Herohtar says:

That looks pretty impressive, but the seven swords thing looks super lame… kind of odd that they just threw them on top of the White Witch's wand/stone knife/whichever that is supposed to be…

The sea serpent fight looks epic, though I don't like it that Eustace is still a dragon then.

  59. [ForNarniaAndForAslan] says:

REALLY AWESOME PREVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it's in 3D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  60. Manuel says:

IΒ΄m just trying to imagine how this movie will look in 3-D. IΒ΄m pretty sure it will be far better than Avatar πŸ˜‰
