New Dawn Treader Movie Stills

NarniaWebber ‘pippovic’ has a German photo-storybook called “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader – Pictures from Narnia” and has scanned many photos from the film. This book isn’t available in the United States, but you can find it on Amazon here.

The book reveals a number of brand new shots and scenes. Enjoy!

That picture of the seven swards nauseates me.

  2. Ali says:

Fantastic! Love the shot of Lucy next to the boat, the seven swords, Minotaur, Aslan's table… all lookin' beautiful.

  3. Watziznehm says:

I must say, the visuals in this movie look amazing!

  4. narnia_fan12 says:

Lilliandial looks so much better in the footage I saw in LA. She is almost transparent, glows a lot more and it just radiantly beautiful! The picture from the book looks flat, and sortof dull. You'll be in for a good surprise once you see the movie! 😀

  5. Griffle says:

I love the picture of the minotaur! He looks really young somehow and we haven't really seen a minotaur this young before. Looks really cool! I hate the swords though. If there's one thing that bothers me when it comes to all the changes they've made, it's the swords. They just don't make any sense at all.

  6. Clodsley Mole says:

The swords are a thread to run through the film. Otherwise it's too episodic, and each adventure is barely linked to the next. It was ok for the BBC tv serial, but not for this sort of film.

  7. Princess Lucy says:

wow…this looks amazing…all the characters, their costumes and expressions…and the landscape with the boat, Aslan's table, lucy's gifts and the swords all wonderful…boy this is going to be an exciting adventure for everyone..the fans, the royal people and the cast and crew themselves…thanxs for this update 🙂

  8. Princess Lucy says:

i was wondering..with the character, the serpent that will practically be the villian of the film…possibly towards the end of the film…is she possibly the serpent from the silver chair…or a character added to the filmm….cause i just realised not seeing her name in this book…but its not a bad thing….it sounds exciting…i was just confused thats all

  9. McGunn says:

I'm a bit curious about the picture of the swords. There seem to be two men grasping towards the swords, who are completely overgrown with some sort of plant. I suppose they must be two of the last three Lords who are discovered sleeping by Aslan's table..?

Then maybe they have made the swords instead of the stone knife put the Lords to sleep…

  10. Princess Lucy says:

thats a good suggestion..i mean it sounds right coz we haven't heard of anything about the stone knife…

  11. Fan of the Just King says:

awesome! everything looks so great! except, Lilliandil in that last pic looks sunburnt. Oh well…..

  12. Princess Lucy says:

    😉
    🙂
    =)

  13. lucyrocks17 says:

AMAZING so awesome! makes me more excited for the movie!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. The three sleepers was cool. I'm looking forward to that part in the movie.

  15. Starlily says:

Lilliandil's not going to be glowing the whole time! Yay! But still disappointed she's not wearing royal blue. 🙁
Lord Bern looks nothing like I imagined. He looks like he's had a rough time, and doesn't own a rich estate with a beautiful wife and daughters. Sigh…
The overgrown lords at Aslan's Table look creeeeeepy! But I really like the look of the place, with the trees and the ancient table and mountains of food! Very nice.
Looks like Edmund and Caspian's argument might get interesting. I wonder if it'll come to actual fighting?
Lucy looks great in all the pictures. Can't wait to see her with the Dufflepuds.

Oh, and I love the Minotaur!!! 😀 He looks so good! And his face is so cute! I hope I'll like his character.

Not even going to talk about the seven swords. Bleh. But overall nearly everything is positive.

  16. Sir Jack says:

aslans table looks FANTASTIC it's really exactly, how I imagined it.

liliandil doesn't glow all the time. YES!!!!

I don't think, that thats lord bernds sword, it looks as if it has been under water for pretty long..

the overgrown people in the pikture of the seven swords look reeeeeeeeealy creepy.. I believe that McGunns guess could be right. but I don't like the fact, that the lords are overgrown with plants, although it isn't contrary to the book, I just like like its better if they're just overgrown with ther own hair (btw their finger and toe nails must have grown extremly long by the time they slept…)

thats all i have to say. beautiful pictures.

  17. TumnusTheBrave says:

is lord bern's sword made of some kind of old rock. It looks so old and rusty. But i LOVE the pics. I like the pic where caspian is giving lucy back her gifts 🙂

  18. NarnianRebel says:

    Sweet!!!!

  19. Little Joe says:

… When I looked at the second picture I was like… Um… Edmund and Caspian are… About to kiss? Then I was like, well maybe they were on the goldwater/deathwater/dragon island having their little stand off. Then I realised that it said they were there….. The mino still looks like a teddy bear and the swords picture is… weird and confusing.

I HATE BEING CONFUSED AND THIS WHOLE MOVIE IS A MYSTERY. So much suspence.

  20. Pepper Darcy says:

LOVELY! lucy looks so awesome. And now we know liliandil doesn't glow all the time! 😀 So lovely! So wonderful! It looks SO narnian!! =D I'm loving Lucy so much in this movie! 🙂 She looks so scared in that one picture! 🙂

  21. LL says:

Edmund and Caspian have never looked better!!!!!

  22. kirstP. says:

I'm looking forward to the movie more than ever now!

  23. Narnia Warrior says:

These were a good update…when will the trailers start running on television…Prince Caspian started when the Super Bowl played in Jan.'08 and the movie came out in May…what is the story? and what about the other three trailers that were taken off the internet are they going to play on TV as well…64 days…YAHOO !!

  24. LoyalNarnian says:

Did anyone notice the candlesticks on Aslan's table? They looked like birds. Possibly a reminder of the birds that come to eat the food everyday?

  25. Starlily says:

That's what I was wondering… I wonder if they'll show the actual birds, or just hint at them with candlesticks?

  26. Lucy says:

I know, almost like secret of moonacre or something!

  27. Queen Susan the Gentle says:

Wow! So many movie stills! I can't wait!

  28. Fire vein says:

    Awesome!!!!!

  29. To die, will be an awfully big adventure says:

I also liked this minotaur. The one in the trailer was just terrible!!!
    I love Caspian's look with Lucy's gifts.
And Lucy by the boat is beautiful.

  30. Narniadreamer says:

Wonderfully Amazing!!! I am so looking forward to the movie in exactly 64 days!!!!

  31. thenarnia24 says:

omg i can hardly breathe lol this looks awsome!!!! tHIS MAKES ME REALLY HAOOY ONLY 2 MONTHS TO THR PREMIERE YES!!!!!!!

  32. Sitheis says:

These pictures are very good 🙂

  33. Queen Emily the Valiant says:

oh wow!!!! i love the shot of lucy at the end of the world!!! and the clash between caspian and ed will be epic!!! it looks so amazing and i can't wait for this film to come out it is going to be like sooooooooo awesome! totally epic!!! do you agree?

  34. Queen Emily the Valiant says:

the serpent in the silver chair is the lady in the green girdle though isn't it? so it's probably just a special effect to get the mood going! 😀

  35. sirsimon says:

Looks brilliant, once this film is sown together and complete, it will be amazing.

One thing though, I read the story plot spoilers, I won't spoil it, but one thing horrifies me

  36. Braden Woodburn says:

I can't believe we just got 2 months and 4 days until the movie! That is really going to fly by! I am definetly sure that I am going to be seeing the midnight showing… then maybe again later that same day in the evening! Those pictures look amazing!

  37. Feather~Light~Heart says:

Oh my these look *amazing!!!* I'm that much more excited for the movie! I'm also glad to see that Liliandil is not glowing all the time, but the picture of her smiling at Caspian and glowing made me think "Stardust???" Anyone else reminded of that?

  38. redeemedqueen says:

    AMAZING!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

  39. pselpevensie says:

OMI-ASLAN!!!!!!!!!!! THESE STILLS ARE AH-MAZING!!!!! MY FAVE: CASPIAN AND EDMUND LOOKING AS IF THEY'RE ABOUT TO KILL EACH OTHER. GOOD SIGN THAT THEIR CONFRONTATION AT DEATHWATER IS IN THE MOVIE!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!

  40. Casue says:

Dude i thought of that too! A Stardust reference would be really wierd, but if they keep it undertone, it could be amazing!

  41. Casue says:

The pictures all look amazing! Minotaur looks better than the wierd one in the trailer, but i like the ones in LWW and PC. I don know why, but i like the how they could look mean, but could also be surprised and have emotions. the ones in the first two in loved.
Yay, Lilliandil doesn't shine round the clock! That would hurt my eyes after a while. Maybe they'll have it be whenever she's teleporting or blushing (hence Caspianado there.) Or mad, like Tinkerbelle.
The whole sword thing really pushes my buttons. And Jadis bein the main bad guy? IDK. I like the changes in the story line in LWW and PC because they still relayed the story in tact, and had all of the charecters learn a lesson. The castle raid in PC got the waterworks started but OK. Honestly, i just hope that the story i grew up with isn't butchered to the point of being minced meat and is stirfried over a fire of Hollywood destroying my childhood.
Anyways…pics are awesome. Lucy is beautiful and i gotta go.
    Go Team Peeta (Hunger Games!!!)

  42. Queen Elizabeth says:

I love the little clash betwee Ed and Caspian. Maybe this time around Ed will be a little rebellious as Peter was in PC. And I guess they are arguing over who is the true king of Narnia. TEAM EDMUND! all the way

  43. Son of Rillian says:

    These are AMAZING!!!!
i want to know why caspian has lucy's dagger.
Because we saw lucy useing Susan's bow and arrows.

  44. Gorgeous, GORGEOUSGORGEOUSGORGEOUSGORGEOUS pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely ♥LOVE♥ the one with Caspian and Edmund having a clash – the first time I read that part it was kind of confusing. I never DREAMED that I would actually see the scene, if even in a picture!!!!! And Lilliandil is BEAUTIFUL by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  45. narnian resident says:

wow…there's the seven swords. it looks….interesting. i did notice that one of the swords is the one that Edmund's been carrying around, the one we've seen on him so far.
that minotaur is…different. but, i dont think its bad.
Lilliandil is so pretty! i suppose we can see now why Caspian was so smitten 😀
i love the one of Edmund up in Caspian's face. i'm guessing thats when they have their clash. they do look very angry at eachother, and goodness! Edmund's even got his sword out!
i love every single one of them. they all look great, and im really excited.

  46. Anna's Sister says:

    Pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lilliandil is not glowing blue! They kept the clash between Edmund and Caspian! And the Minotaur looks awesome! No pictures of Eustace though and to many of those swords. Arrggg.

  47. narnian resident says:

oh no! dont turn this into a Twilight parallel with the whole Team so and so and whatever!

  48. Louloudi the Centaur says:

To me, the minotaur looks a bit "BBC Narnia-ish". Other than that, these photos look cool! Oh, and look at the bottom corner of the minotaur shot. LOL

  49. narnian resident says:

thats exactly what i thought when i saw the minotaur, how it looked really young. i guess i dont mind it looking different than how they looked in LWW and PC, cuz now he doesnt look scary, but actually friendly, and thats what happens with the minotaurs anyway. in LWW, they were evil and scary, but now they're on the good side and look nice.

  50. Queen Elizabeth says:

Wouldn't that be sweet though! To have on a t-shirt. I am totally going to do that now.

  51. Not Of This World says:

    That's true! Good thinkin!

  52. Not Of This World says:

What was wrong with the minotares they used in LWW and PC?

  53. Laura Elizabeth says:

Yes, and the one where Edmund is holding that sword Lord Bern (and did you see Lord Bern? Blegh! Looked like a taller Trumpkin to me) gave him. It looks like something that was found on a shipwreck at the bottom of the ocean. Not very useful looking. The only picture I kind of liked was the one where they were at Aslan's Table. I don't think I like Lilliandil.

  54. Laura Elizabeth says:

Oh, I hope that's not the case!

  55. Laura Elizabeth says:

Who cares if the minotaur looks awesome? It isn't supposed to be there!

  56. Laura Elizabeth says:

It does not. Anyways, what does everyone have against the BBC Narnia movies? They were a million times closer to the books than these new movies.

  57. NarniaQueen411 says:

I'm not sure about the sword thing yet, and yes I agree about the 'usefulness' of the sword Edmund is holding, but I remain optimistic about the whole thing, I like what they are doing much better then what they did for PC. And I think that Lilliandil looks beautiful!

  58. lilliandil looks like she's wearing a wig and a nightgown :/
