Narnia Comes Out of the Wardrobe and Into Your Mall
The next time you venture into your local retail establishment, keep an eye out for visitors from the land of Narnia. Employee-owned high-tech sales and engineering firm Cross Co. has recently created automation and motion control products for a series of large displays to be featured in shopping centers around the US. The displays serve as promotion for the upcoming film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which releases December 10.
This isn’t the first time Cross Co. has had a brush with a blockbuster franchise; the company has previously worked on dinosaur robots for Universal Orlando Resort’s Jurassic Park River Adventure. Other recent projects include the US’s first switchgrass biofuel plant which uses grass to manufacture ethanol for fuel.

I wonder what this means, exactly? Will there be robot dragons and sea serpents in shopping malls? Will there be a Dawn Treader that moves? And most importantly, will they come to Maine? 😉
