NarniaWebbers, believe it or not, the next Narnia film releases in just over two months.
Because I am a bearer of truth, obviously. 😉 Sorry, not trying to rain on ya'll's parade, but REALLY. It's a movie, and an inaccurate portrayal of the books, and they will probably slaughter it. PC was a disaster. I won't be surprised when this is the last movie of the franchise.
P.S. Shastafan: By recenting I suppose you meant recently?
@Queen Elizabeth: If this movie is affecting your life, then I rest my case and pity you. It's a movie, with fake people and sets and props and 3D animation. Not to say that movies can't affect your life, but they shouldn't. The message of the movie, however, sometimes should. But I can hardly see VoDT building you in any productive way.
Great! That will be so cool! I cannot wait for the movie to come out though. I am countin the days.
Does anyone have any details? Who exactly will be there, what will they be doing? Speeches, spoilers? I'd love to know. 🙂
It doesn't effect my life phisically. I've seen kids in my life who love the books and movies and they boost their imagination. And yes I know that they butchered Prince Caspian, but honestly no one would like the movie if it went straight from the book. There was hardly any action in the book, and most of it was sadly to say quite slow. And yes Bearer of Truth I meant the message of the story. We all know that it is make believe. But when you see it on screen it makes it feel more real.
Try Narniafans.com they have some good stuff 🙂
I feel sorry for people like you, Bearer.
um…are you saying i'm confused and have read it wrong…sorri i'm not good at reading non literal writing…correct me if i'm wrong
OOOhhhhhhh! That makes sence! Thank you!
Cool! An IMAX Thetre? Wow! That is so cool!!!!!
She kind of looks like Anna Poplewell
yay
That's what I want to know!
Princess Lily, you will not need a webcam to watch it. A webcam is a device for recording things to put on the net, not watching things. I'm sure that as long as you have adobe flash player you should be able to watch whatever is on the site. 😉
@Bearer of Truth, I understand where you are coming from. It's a very reasonable and logical viewpoint. However, human beings are not naturally logical. Even something as "fake" as a movie stimulates responses, even though we know it's not real. And some of us live for those fake, stimulated excitment. Also, there are some of us that look at movie-making as an art form, and are excited to see how well the movie-makers have adapted the movie. Others of us are excited because we love the story and will welcome yet another adaptation of a timeless tale. Is there anything wrong with that? Besides, I think it is good to be excited about things to come, as long as we don't get so caught up in the future that we miss the present. That is on the borderline of being obsessive…and only then can you truly call us idiots. 😉
thanxs alot fire fairy…that has helped alot…can't wait to the premier day and december to watch the film…hope everyone enjoys the film…i'm sure it won't dissapoint anyone
Oh my!!!! Its getting so close! I can't believe its ACTUALLY HERE!!!!!!!
Okay, thanks!
THE 3RD MOVIE IS FINALLY HERE. I AM GETTING EXCITED TO SEE IT. IT IS IN NEW ZEALAND? WILL THE LION BE THERE?
When it's out, you can watch your favorite scenes over and over again.
Truth is, you give me gas.
Can't wait for this one – be fantastic to actually see it all live!
Great site BTW – just found this place 🙂
@Bearer of Truth: I'm a late-comer to this party, but I can't resist posting. As a professional screenwriter, I am always so surprised when people criticize films for NOT following the book. Really, is there any law that says the book is the "gold standard" by which the film version of the story must be told? Why is it that we are all bound to what the book author has written–especially if we know it won't work for a film? Film is the tightest and most unforgiving of all story-driven media, and much of what works in book stories does NOT work in screen adaptations. Often, the film versions are (in my opinion) better, tighter stories than the books, where authors were allowed to "wander" their thoughts in sometimes reckless abandon. As a screenwriter, I side with Queen Elizabeth. I promise you, if you saw the book really unfold on screen as Lewis wrote it, you'd like it even less than you liked Prince Caspian. (And just for the record, even though I love C.S. Lewis and his writings, I believe the film version of PC WAS a vast improvement on the book!)
