Two New Voyage of the Dawn Treader Images
MTV is showing two brand new images from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The first image shows Lucy, Edmund looking at some old documents, likely on the Lone Islands. The second is an image of the Lucy, Edmund, Eustace and Caspian on a beach.

I wonder what Caspian thought when he found it (since I'm assuming he found it and kept it). Being the fanboy that he is, he was probably way too excited to have some artifact from our world and spent all his time playing with it while Trumpkin rolled his eyes at him. LOL :p
They probably thought it was magical, like Susan's horn and Lucy's cordial. The batteries probably lasted so long because it was never used

Unless batteries were drastically different in WW2 times, those things would be corroded and leaking battery acid. Certainly in no shape to light a flashlight.
It was the Narnian air! 😛 (Hey, it has a strengthening effect on everything else, why not the batteries??) I personally think it's lovely Ed's been reunited with his beloved torch, hee hee. And I love the costumes I'm seeing in all these pictures…just gorgeous, with obvious attention to detail. ONLY 100 DAYS LEFT!!!! 😀 <><

I know! That's hilarious! A while ago, I was joking with my sister that Caspian would give Edmund his torch back and say, "I've found it very useful in my reign. Sorry though, it won't work anymore for some reason!" I can't believe we were right! 😀

not in just 3 years…i'm the daughter of a power supply designer, and if put under the correct conditions, i.e.: kept cool and dry, then batteries can last a good long time.

First pic in cave looks totally sweet! Although strangely it reminds me of pirates of the caribbean! Which arent bad movies by the way…Caspian looks ten years older, even though its supposed to be only 3. I bet edmund is still going to be my fav. character!

I didn't. I looked it up on the internet, and found a page where someone talks about it. And I've also been listening to all the Narniawebbers talk about it for months. I have too much time on my hands. 😉

yeah, that's the first thing I noticed, the torch… besides the fact it lookslike they're in some sort of belltower… that set looks *so* epic! =) I love the way it looks! =D
my sister and I always said 'aw, they should use Ed's torch in VotDT, it' be so cool,' well, it did happen, didn't it?! 🙂
The only place this could be (going by the book) is the Lone Islands. I have an idea that it might be where Caspian learns that the Lone Islands have not paid their tribute to Narnia, but we don't know if that's even been preserved from book to movie, so I guess we'll just have to see.
Wow, this is so amazing. I am *so* hyped about this right now. The sets look beautiful! And *so* epic! It's pretty neat seeing them 'sneaking' into some sort of library place =)
I was so thrilled to see Edmund has his torch. The look on Lucy and Edmund's faces as they look at the books are pretty neat! =)) I *love* the way this movie is turning out!!

I actually really, really like the inclusion of the torch. There's something so eerie and cool about technology from the 40's appearing in a scene that is otherwise completely medieval-looking. One of those "what's wrong with this picture?" moments.
I have no idea what kind of scene this will be in the movie, though. Staring reeeally hard at the shadowy piece of parchment facing the camera, it looks like the word "Ships" is written there, but yikes, it's hard to tell. I don't really understand the idea of sensitive documents being stored in a belltower, though. With the way they always seem to be ridden with pigeons or bats, it doesn't seem like the best place for protecting ancient books, lol.
As for the mysterious blue UFO beside Caspian, could that possibly be Lilliandil?
The second picture looks really nice! I'm glad to see they're embracing the high-waisted pants trend, lol. I'm thinking this must be from later in the movie, after the undragoning, because Eustace is in Narnian clothes.

Uh, MTV's caption under the pictures are all wrong. The one with Edmund's torch listed as Ben Barnes, Skandar Keynes, and Anna Popplewell (shouldn't it be Georgie Henley)! While the one with Eustace on the beach is William Moseley (should be Will Poulter), Skandar Keynes, again Anna Popplewell (Georgie Henley) and then Ben Barnes. Whoever posted these informations should be reprimanded and be sent to the Lone Island- hahaha.
