Three Brand New Video Clips From The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Aslan’s Country has posted the three clips from the Fun-for-the-Whole-Family Hour package. The first clip shows Eustace being very obnoxious with the Pevensies in Lucy’s bedroom. The second clip shows Eustace discovering the dragon cave and gives some hints about story change. The third clip shows Edmund, Lucy, Caspian, Eustace, and Reepicheep rowing across the Sea of Lillies. Eustace is talking about his undragonning.

There’s a lot of dialogue with Eustace in all three clips. This is by far the best footage we’ve seen from the film.

Click here to watch the videos at Aslan’s Country.

UPDATE: Fox has removed these videos from YouTube and Vimeo. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

What do you think of the new videos?

OHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! My heart was racing for minutes after watching these clips. It looks SO GOOD!!!! I was so happy to see more of Eustace finally!! And Edmund and Caspian!! This movie is going to be so good!! I hope my parents will let me go see it in the theatre when it comes out. 🙂
Oh, and I love Drinian's accent too!! 😀

    Deep breaths Luckrocks…deep breaths.

  3. Ted C says:

    Amazing?

  4. Ted C says:

Looks good but Im very skeptical of the kid play Eustace. In that first clip his acting was not that good. I will reserve judgment since he was slightly better in the last.

  5. Melody says:

But they aren't putting the films at exactly 1 year apart, so I would say that it's perfectly possible that Peter has just turned 18.

  6. Silver the Wanderer says:

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *lovelovelovelove* These are sooo cool!!!

  7. Melody says:

Sparky, your username reminds me of a scene from an AIO episode… your name isn't Robert Mitchell, is it? ;D j/k! glad to see another AIO fan. 😀

  8. LuvNarnia says:

Oh man these are by far the best clips! Finally some of Caspian talking!

  9. Mark Sommer says:

    Cool.

  10. Mirima Rosetrader says:

Awesome clips!!! I love Eustace!!! This movie will be the best of the three!!! Long live Aslan and Sail on VDT!

  11. glumPuddle says:

    Mostly encouraging stuff! 🙂

  12. AL says:

Nice! Though it seems to me that it is straying from the book… alot. But 'tis interesting!

  13. Yes, why would Lucy say "we're home" and why would Eustace say "you're just guests"?

If the Pevensies suddenly are orphans, and I don't think that's the case (though it is a possibility), that'd give the director an incentive to bring the four kids together again in this movie.

This would drastically change that scene in "The Last Battle" where Lucy waves to her parents in Aslan's Country.

Idk what to think. Let's hope they're sticking to the book. It was fine as is.

  14. I'd have to agree that the clips are mostly encouraging. Though to me, they raise more questions than the first trailer did.

I hope you plan on analyzing them on your youtube channel. I've enjoyed watching those vids.

    *LOST SOULS!*

    😛

  15. Kristena says:

I'm going CRAZY right now!!!!!! …..what more can I say? I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Kristena says:

🙂 🙂 🙂 The movie looks so good already!!!! And I absolutely love the way Will made Eustace act…. He made him the kind of bully you feel like you could actually thoroughly HATE! And yet later, I like him!!!! Yay! …lol

  17. SavedByGrace says:

I love them! I think the the last one is my favorite. Not quite sure I like the changes they made in the second video, though. All in all, very nice; I love spoilers 😀

  18. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

Yes glumPuddle, I would love for you to do videos on this footage. You don't know how much I look forward to your analysis on news. Especially video related news. 😉

  19. narnian resident says:

you know, i love how Lucy says "Aslan's Country", almost in a dreamy sort of voice. lovely 🙂

  20. narnian resident says:

maybe it isnt Lucy who says "we're home". it could be his mother. but it does sound an awful lot like her. that confused me a bit.

hey, that just got me thinking. on the cast list in movie information, there is no listing for Eustace's parents. does that mean his parents wont appear? i mean, we'll probably infer he has parents, and they're at the house because he's only suppose to be a boy, but why wouldnt they have a shot of them? maybe a small scene? i was actually hoping to see Aunt Alberta and Uncle Harold. well, it could just be one of those times they forget to put a casting up…maybe? *sigh* i guess i'll just have to see in the movie

  21. Lady Em says:

I think he's a great Eustace! I don't have time to watch the third clip, but the only thing that bothers me so far is the skeleton in clip two. What happened to the golden statue???

  22. JadistarkilleR says:

    awesome!!! 😀

i LOVE Eustace from the books, he is my favorite character among all of them, so you can understand my worry on how he will be interpreted onscreen. from what i've seen so far definitely does a Eustace fan proud! 🙂

  23. Pepper Darcy says:

EUSTACE IS PERFECT! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! AWESOME! 😀

  24. MP_in_Narnia says:

Awesome!!!! Much more promising than the trailer… :)) I wonder why Eustace says "two orphans"??

  25. Pepper Darcy says:

hey, anyone notice? I don't think these are the *full* scenes because in the Aslan's Country one Lucy was in her red vest hair up etc, in the second white shirt hair down? 🙂 So these are definately edited/cut down I think 😀 But they are DEFINATELY awesome! Can't wait for December! 🙂 Eustace is perfect!

  26. LL says:

Skandar was great. Georgie's lost it.

  27. Bother Eustace says:

I finally got to see the first two videos. I'm really pleased with Will as Eustace, I think he's great! unfortunately the third video is unavailable, it says it has content being blocked by Fox. But what I was able to see was cool. Oh, and Georgie has grown so much! I've seen pictures and of course the two trailers, but I'm still amazed whenever I see her.

  28. Bother Eustace says:

Scratch that about the third video – I finally got it loading now. Should be able to see it in a bit. =P

  29. Laura Elizabeth says:

I am not at all impressed with any of these clips. The acting seems stilted and unrealistic, and Caspian looks even more pathetic on video than he does in the photos. My hopes have just basically disappeared, and I can't hope for any better on the next movie, if they even are able to make it…

  30. Beren says:

I don't like how they're edited, but I'm sure that's just for the clip. The colours in the third clip are amazing, and you can tell it's filmed on digital. But it looks spectacular. It's so surreal like the end of the world should be.
I never thought of dragon island as being such a desert, but I suppose it works. And Gael has a line!!!

  31. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

I'm sorry you feel that way. I think it is very interesting how different people perceive the same thing differently. After watching the trailers I thought the movie would be just okay. But now I'm thinking it will actually be pretty good.

  32. wolfloversk says:

    *squels in happiness*

  33. LL says:

Did you notice the picture on the nightstand when Eustace is sitting on the bed? (Around the 30 second mark) I think that's a picture of Peter and Susan…Hmmm…

  34. Lucy the Valiant says:

Ah GlumPuddle, as another faithful viewer of your YouTube channel :D, I'm glad to hear you say so!
I don't know whether I'm going to like all the changes they're making. Just about any changes to the book make me nervous…I'm just a crazy purist like that. But I think I'm going to be ok with most of these………..

  35. Lucy the Valiant says:

In the book, the gold statue is on Deathwater island, in the water that turns things to gold. Eustace finds treasure and becomes a dragon on Dragon Island. The bracelet he finds belongs to a lord who's body is never found. The crew assumes that lord either turned into or was eaten by the dragon that Eustace saw die.

  36. Lyle says:

Am I the only one who thinks the scenes feel 'rushed'? I think they edited this for screening purposes, otherwise I am not that all impressed. And, secondly, why they spoil it for everyone that Eustace became a dragon???

    Still, I'm pretty excited 😉

  37. FriendOfNarnia2 says:

Yeah, they are very obviously rushed. I'm 100% they will not appear this away in the film.

  38. The Batman says:

Wow. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Can you believe we only have 112 more days to wait?!

  39. QueenLucy12 says:

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GGGGGGOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Need to see the movie!!! This Makes me even MORE EXCITED FOR THE MOVIE!!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

  40. Cynical Narnia Fanboy says:

Yeah, does he just mean their parents and su and peter are gone, or is Apted taking more liberties…???

  41. Maenad says:

I'm glad to see these clips, but I'm really hoping these aren't the final edits. It seemed really choppy and the music was…weird. There was just something off about it. But I was SO EXCITED to finally see Eustace!

  42. Savber100 says:

The clips were ok, but am I really the only one that thinks the acting was horribly stiff if not bad??
I mean yes, these clips are a lot better than the trailers but surely the acting could be a lot better than what the clips indicate. 😛

  43. caspianfan says:

i love all of them, there so good! can't wait sail on VDT

  44. caspianfan says:

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IM SO SIKED

  45. heyheyheyhayley says:

woahhhh it looks pretty awesome, although i am sad that they changed the line of undragoning from picking a scab to pulling out a thorn, cuz i found the scab totally relate-able… i'm kinda doing that right now… but i really like edmund's rhyme 🙂

  46. antar says:

omg all three clips was awsome i cant wait to see the dawn treader when it hits theaters

  47. MP_in_Narnia says:

By jove, I think you're right!

  48. Meggie1996 says:

" There once was a boy called Eustace, Who read books full of facts that are useless." Haha Good one Ed! But seriously though, I hope Peter, Susan, and their parents aren't dead. Did you notic that Lucy said "We're home." at the very begining. And Eustace called them orphans! meanie. Although that would explain why Ed is acting the way he is. Although I don't blame him for getting ticked when Eustace said they where "Hideous burdens." Can't wait for the movie!!!!!

  49. Mie says:

can someone give me these youtube links?

  50. Lucy Helen Ycul says:

I really like the first clip.

  51. Aslan's my homeboy says:

    I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

  52. I AM FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOHOOOOOOOOOO! Thanks Aslans Country! *BREATH* BREATH HO*! 🙂 🙂

  53. captain_J-Rock says:

EEEEK, love these clips so much, especially the first and second ones.
"There once was a boy called Eustace, who read books full of facts that were useless" Nice one Ed!
I also particularly love Skandar's acting in the second video, Ed seems so guilty and sad. Good one Skandar!

  54. captain_J-Rock says:

I also just noticed that in the second clip, Caspian has Rhindon again…..:S

  55. Jana says:

I LOVE THIS VIDEOS !!!!!! IS BEST!!!!!!!! 3>

  56. Ambervina says:

Very cool!! I'm just…wow. I'm really impressed with Dragon Island and with the rhyming.

These have definitely been 'clipped' for viewing. I don't think this is what they will look like in the film.

Is anyone doing screensaps of these?

  57. TrueNarnianWithWill says:

I noticed he said orphans too… does that mean anything???? It better not!

  58. Pepper Darcy says:

it's probably just Eustace being Eustace for ya 🙂

  59. Pepper Darcy says:

Hey! If you watch the first clip of the Pevensies in Eustaces house, and if you look in the background when Eustace/Edmund start fighting you can see Lucy's stuffed dog from the first movie (that she had on the train!) 😉

  60. Embrace says:

Mindblowing stuff I must say! This movie is going to rule the seas and rock the boat! Drag on it as soon as possible!
