French Narnia Fans: Win a Trip on the Dawn Treader
Last month we reported on Fox, National Geographic, and Italy teaming up to give two lucky Italians the chance to sail for a week on a replica Dawn Treader. Now the same competition is open to France.
As far as I can tell, the prize for winning seems to be the same, but instead of answering a question based off of a National Geographic show, you just have to answer a quiz question about the books to enter.
An approximate translation from blog.okapi-jebouquine.com:
You also enter into the magic of Narnia by participating in the competition to win a week’s cruise across southern England on the ship of Narnia, the “Dawn Treader”.
And YOU a unique experience during which you must share the quest of Lucy, Edmund and Eustace and pass tests worthy of the heroes of Narnia into ancient castles from the English coast.
Go to FoxFilm’s website here to enter.
Thanks to The Bulgy Bear for the heads up!
I am so wishing right now I was on the other side of the Earth right now. π π
What about a contest for Americans?!? π
Ok, now do I officialy HATE living in Sweden!
I pray that the film version of THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWNTREADER is loyal to the thoughts of C.S.Lewis and his book. THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE did just that and it was a success, making a lot of money. The film of PRINCE CASPIAN would have been much better if it had not added scenes that really did not contribute to the story and omitted scenes that could have enhanced the film. That made all the difference. I am looking forward to the VOYAGE OF THE DAWNTREADER and will encourage our school chldren to see it.
Lucky French people…. Is there a contest for Americans? Europeans are getting all the fun…. π I'm happy for you guys though. You all are so lucky. But… still… I wish there was one for Americans…
Everywhere but here π Still, good for them though
I wish I lived in France or Italy instead I live on the tiny island of Cyprus where hardly anyone apreciates Narnia even though i'm english… -.-
I want this to come to the US too! What about UK, Australia, Canada, etc? Did you notice the VDT trailer on the French website was in French? Cool! The one on Brazilian cable was in English.
It's awful do you get what I mean?
Cypress sounds like an interesting place to live, though. Not everyone can say they live there. π
Phooey. I don't live in Italy OR France. America really needs to get on the ball (not that I'd win the competition anyway). Oh well. I'm hoping the movie makes us feel like we're actually riding on the Dawn Treader anyway. π
Yeah, EXACTLY! =( there would be loads of people entering if they did… myself included….
Maybe it will!
Europeans are LUCKY!
Almost every other competition has been exclusively for Americans. Let international fans have their turn!
That would most certainly be slightly unfair. Americans get many chances and opportunities at various competitions. I agree with Warrior 4 Jesus.
Although I don't know that I would object if everyone else in the world got a chance too.
But I do understand why a LOT of American Narnia fans would LOVE to even enter this competition. Because I'm speaking as an American. π
I guess I can understand that, but still… I'm not interested in entering any competitions except this one. lol
It would be nice to have some competitions down in the Southern Hemisphere, dare I say in Australia? Especially since that's where much of VDT was filmed. Everyone in the world should get a chance at something – even Antarctica.
yay glad for french people but for people everywhere esle… dang it.
They get a chance to win a total week's cruise around southern England on the "Dawn Treader"! Lucky! We all wish we were Italians or French, don't we?
What I wouldn't give to be French or Itallian right now! My sister and I are so jealous! π Living in GA can have it downs that is for sure
It better! π My Mom and Dad said they are taking us the day it comes out! π SO excited! π
Ditto. π
Hur cool, Γ€ven om jag i Sverige! Amerika behΓΆver fΓΆr att fΓ₯ lite kul!
WILL THIS PLEASE COME TO AMERICA ALREADY???????!!!!!!!!!!
The only competitions I've seen relating to this film have been for Americans so far! What about the UK? That's where the Matthew is based and where the world premiere is taking place, and yet we haven't had anything! I'm hoping something is going to arise approaching the film release!
