Trailer Release Soon
Narnia Fans is reporting that we could see a trailer for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in about two weeks. Check out the article here for the full details.
As always, we will be sure to post the trailer along with a full set of screen-caps and the transcript.
This may also mean that the trailer will premiere in front of Toy Story 3 as that’s the most appropriate movie set to release in two weeks. Can’t wait. Sail on Dawn Treader!
UPDATE: Kristi at The Lion’s Call reports that Walden has confirmed the trailer will premiere in front of Toy Story 3!
i know, right? if the trailer does end up coming out with toy story, maybe i will go see it!!! hey, but they WILL post it on here when it comes out.

Disagree completely. I don't think you properly understand Pixar's target audience. The fact is that people of all ages will go see Toy Story 3, not just six year olds.

That's an excellent idea, Starlily! Also, maybe you could find some quiet time to pray and ask God to help you order your desires properly. I agree– it can get tough, but you can also find God in Narnia. 🙂

i NEVER said only six-year-olds were going to go see Toy Story 3, narnianlover101. i simply said most of it's fans are going to be children, while VDT's fans will not only be children but also teens and pre-teens.

I honestly can't think of a single film this year that would be a better choice to put a Dawn Treader trailer. The fact is that all pixar films are family films, not just kid films. Dawn Treader is also a family film, and the demographics between the films are almost identical, with Dawn Treader PERHAPS being skewed to a slightly older audience.

I couldn't disagree more. You obviously don't understand the people who make up Pixar's fanbase: artsy moviegoers, animators, adults, and of course, children. If you haven't noticed, Pixar's last movie, Up, was targeted more to adults than kiddies. And it was a huge success.
The trailer will probably be on vid;eo sites and Narnia.com when it comes out, so don't worry.

Hey, sweet! This is the second one of these "mini-discussions" on NarniaWeb!
I admit that within the last ten minutes, I've been really excited. (Don't get me wrong; I still am!) but now I'm sobering down. I think one of the reasons why it's so easy to idolize or fan-freak over something like this is because it's something we can /see/ it. We can't see God, but we know He's there. But we often forget that. Have any idea how chagrined I am everytime I come to and I realize what I've just done? Heh-heh, yeah, let's not go there!
So thanks to all of you who have helped remind me that there's a Real Person who is the inspiration behind my favourite character in fiction ever and that it's for the Real Person that I should be living for!

How do you know it will be with Toy Story? Or if the trailer will be 3d. What else comes out in 2 weeks? Whatever movie it's with I'll be there to see it on the giant screen.
So maybe someone posted an innocent assumption up on here and turned out to be wrong, but what right does that give you to start to lash at them? What if /you/ were the one who posted the apparently incorrect assumption and then got all these negative comments flung back at your face? "Jerk" is another way of calling someone a fool: something for which Christ will judge you for. I'm not trying to be harsh or "breathe brimstone down your neck", just giving food for thought.

not just because it's THE DAWN TREADER MOVIE TRAILER,
but because I am also a huge Tom Hanks fan, so it'll be double (or triple) awesome to see Toy Story 3!

I believe we were all just upset because he claimed to have actually seen the trailer himself before Shrek, then he posted another comment elsewhere claiming it was coming out before I can't remember what movie, so I suppose we were only assuming he was purposely trying to mess with our heads. I'm apologize if any of you got offended, it was just a bit irritating.

I wasn't going to go see Toy Story, at least not until it hits the second-run theater in our town, but now I think I'll call the theater and find out if the VDT trailer is running…
