Opening shot in Cambridge with recruitment posters

Recruitment Officer: Are you sure you’re 18?

Edmund: Why, do I look older?

Lucy: Edmund, you’re supposed to be helping me with the groceries.

Other boys in line: [laughter] Good luck next time eh squirt?

Outside of the recruitment building Edmund and Lucy load up their groceries on a bicycle

Edmund: Squirt! I’m a king.

Lucy: Not in this world.

20th Century Fox Logo and the Walden Media Logo

In the Scrubb household, Edmund and Lucy study a painting of an ocean with a tiny ship sailing on it

Edmund: Lucy, have you seen this ship before

A closeup of the painting and the waves are starting to roll and on one side a tiny trickle of water forms

Lucy: It’s very Narnian looking isn’t it?

In the same bedroom, all of a sudden the painting starts gushing water into the room and Edmund, Lucy and Eustace look dumbfounded

Eustace: What’s going on here?

Lucy: Edmund the painting!

Eustace yells and pulls it off the wall. Edmund and Lucy try to help, but water is rapidly filling the bedroom. Lucy screams and falls and suddenly the room is completely underwater with furniture floating around. They swim upwards towards the surface and just as they reach it and gasp for air Lucy turns and sees the Dawn Treader sailing towards them.

Lucy: Edmund!

Caspian and Lucy are hoisted out of the water onto the ship. Lucy, now in Narnian clothes looks into a mirror and sees her reflection and Aslan looking back at her.

Lucy: Aslan.

Aslan: Welcome. You have come far, but your journey lies beyond.

A shot of the Dawn Treader sailing away from an island at sunset. A shot of a minotaur on board as well as a couple crew members in the background. A shot of Lucy and Edmund standing on deck wrapped in blankets.

Lucy: Reepicheep!

Reepicheep bows.

Reepicheep: Your majesties!

A shot of a mermaid swimming in the water next to the ship. She waves and Lucy waves back.

Edmund: So if there are no wars to fight, then why are we here?

Caspian walks through a door followed by Edmund and someone else. Edmund looks through a spyglass. A shot of an island surrounded by fog. A shot of Coriakin magically throwing a map across the floor.

Coriakin: You are all about to be tested.

A shot of Eustace peeking through something. Smoking tendrils surround the ship and head towards the crew members. One in particular heads towards Edmund.

White Witch: Edmund, I can make you my king.

A vision of the White Witch

White Witch: And much more.

Lucy blows across the cover of the Magician’s Book and the letters on the front of it arrange into The Book of Incantations. She opens it. She sees a reflection of herself on one page and then begins to transform into Susan.

Lucy: I’m beautiful.

Lucy hears a lion roar and jumps away from the book as pages quickly turn away from the page. Next shot is Lucy standing in the Magician’s room as snow is falling all around her. She gazes up in wonder.

Coriakin: You have an extraordinary destiny.

Reepicheep quickly climbs up the mast of the Dawn Treader where he reaches the crow’s nest and looks out smiling.

Coriakin: Something greater than you could have imagined.

Narrator: From C. S. Lewis’ epic masterpiece…

Shot of the crew aboard the Dawn Treader with Drinian at the helm. Shot of what is likely Narrowhaven. Shot of Lilliandil glowing beautifully.

Lilliandil: The fate of Narnia depends on you.

Narrator: This Christmas…

Edmund holds Rhindon in his hand. It’s glowing blue. Lilliandil turns back into a star and shoots into the heavens while Caspian, Edmund, and Lucy look on.

Narrator: Return to Hope

Shot of a faun doing a flip in Narrowhaven and kicking someone. Shot of Lucy aboard the Dawn Treader about to fire an arrow.

Narrator: Return to Magic

In the magician’s study, suddenly where he was once invisible, Coriakin turns around with a book in his hand. Shot changes to the Dufflepuds bouncing around on one foot with Eustace standing in the middle of them looking dumbfounded.

Chief Dufflepud: This place just gets weirder and weirder.

Narrator: Return to Narnia

Shot of Caspian, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace, and Reepicheep paddling a rowboat through the sea of lilies. Shot of Aslan standing on dry ground next to Caspian, Edmund, Eustace, Lucy, and Reepicheep while holding back a wave.

Aslan: You have returned for a reason. Your adventure begins now.

Shot of Peter. Shot of Susan. Shot of Lucy. Shot of Edmund. Aslan standing on the shore roars.

End credits. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader form out of spiked rocks and then turn into the well known logo with the Dawn treader seen sailing in the background between snowy mountains. Christmas. 3D.

  5. DamselJillPole says:

I love everything in it. And a lot seems to be by the book. The only things bothering me is Caspian going to the worlds end when he shouldn't have. And Peter and Susan in Narnian clothes?? What does that mean? I hope it's a flashback or something else that doesn't really make them appear in Aslan's Country. All in all I love it!

  6. QStheG says:

    AAAAAAAAAAA)))))I haven't any words….it's brilliant!!!!!!!!I should to be normal but I can't!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. 7chronicles says:

That was so amazinggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to go watch it for the fourth time!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  8. Aslanisthebest says:

I join those who did love it indeed! I watched it again and loved it even more. I really like when Lucy was with the book and the part where the painting flooded the room. A few parts like the Anna and Will Cameos, the white witch, some things that were said did puzzle me but I'm pretty much very excited for it!

  9. Rosie says:

    AHHHH!
Its amazing! I can't find anything wrong with it.
Edmund in the beginning, "Why, do I look older?" was classic.
I just love it. Georgie's all grown up now, wow.
I love the painting scene, its amazing.
And her seeing herself in the book becoming "beautiful" was magical. This is totally going to become a favourite. Wow.

  10. Dradl says:

by where I live as well, woke up just to watch it

  11. Daughter_of_Ramandu says:

😀 I enjoyed watching this, though i am a little worried about Peter and Susan's appearance towards the end. I don't think it's anything. I trust the production. Sail on Dawn Treader!

  12. Movie Aristotle says:

I do not know what to say…but I've seen it.

  13. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

I stared at the countdown hard untill it finally reached zero, then it took me about ten minutes on two computers to get through to the site! But it was worth it!! It has a different style then the other two I believe. I'm not exactly sure what's happening there with Peter and Susan in Narnian clothing, I'm going to look at it a bit more….
Overall, I am very happy! We got to see a good amount of scenes!

  14. DruidDream says:

ok, I saw the trailer like 3 times and…. wow its so different.

  15. Tanya says:

    Can't wait for the film.

  17. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! must… breathe… can't… too excited… AHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I just love this phase because I can put off extended critique till after I've seen the movie a few times and simply revel in the joy of the fact that a story dear to my heart is coming to the big screen!! WHOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

  18. Sir Jack says:

so I soppose now edmund has got this "but I'm a king" problem peter had in PC.. not so thrilled about that…

  19. Mirima Rosetrader says:

I'm literally shaking as I am watching the trailer! It is so awesome! This is my sixth time watching it!

  20. LucyP0104 says:

I really, really love it! The Peter/Susan scene at the end seems a little misleading, but besides that it's great. I must go watch it again. 😀

  21. Lucy the Valiant says:

I'm just really confused about what Caspian and Peter and Susan are doing there at the end!!!!!!!!
Overall, I love it and it looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!

  22. Liliana♥ says:

Wow! I'm so happy I can't stop crying (tears of joy). Skandar/Edmund is looking fine! WOW! Lucy is so pretty!

  23. NarniaNerd says:

AHHHHHHH!!!! My sisters and I counted the seconds. We watched LWW to bide the time. Then we watched the trailer twice more to make sure it was real. Then twice more just because. And then I'll watch it five more times tomorrow.
I'm too tired right now to make any kind of analysis of it. I did notice that Ed seems to be having trouble adjusting (again) to not being a king, and Lucy has Susan's bow and arrows, and other things…*faints from overexcitement and exertion*

  24. Lord Bern says:

I have no idea what to think… Wow… I'm kind of concerned with the way things seem to be going here… Lilliandil: "The fate of Narnia depends on you." That makes me a bit nervous. I think I have to watch it a few more times to actually start making opinions.

  25. Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

i'm just in love with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best of all the changes look lik good ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is 2 O CLOCK A M HERE IN CHICAGO IL I STAYED UP 4 SUMTHING THAT I COULD HAV STAYED UP YEARS FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WITCH, LILIANDIL, CORIAKIN, EVERYONES AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

now im just gonna b impatient until december!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. aslan1980 says:

Lucy does not deliver the "Edmund, you’re supposed to be helping me with the groceries" very well. It needs to be clearer. They should try and fix that.

  28. Fire Fairy says:

Oh, wow. I didn't expect to still be awake, but, oh, wow. I've only watched it once so far, so this is initial reaction. Let's just say a tingle shot up my spine when I watched it. I CAN'T WAIT FOR DEC 10!!!!! On the other hand, it seems that the trailer has answered some of our questions while bringing up new ones. Lilliandil looks gorgeous, the painting looks amazing, the magician's book is more than I dreamed…what else can I say? Definitely amazing!!!

  29. Fire Fairy says:

Ditto on Edmund's line. Loved it.

  30. MustardSeedish says:

Beautiful! I had goosebumps throughout. I can't wait to watch it with my son. I can't wait to see it with my family.

  31. Liliana♥ says:

Ah! I can't stop watching it, this is going to be my 18th time…Narnia Fans today we sleep with smiles on our faces 😀

  32. Follower of Aslan says:

Are they trying to bring in some LWW stuff? The snow, the White Witch, the "But I'M King" effect in the beginning? Susan and Peter returning? Classic "bow and arrow" shot with Lu instead of Su?
Why do we have this "fate of Narnia in your hands" thing? Why is Edmund holding a blue sword? To fight creatures from Middle Earth?
I think the scene with the painting could have bene done better, but it works. I would rather see more believable duffflepods. More of Caspian and Eustace please?
haha "if there are no wars to fight, then why are we here?" What, Ed, you don't wanna be in Narnia unless you can fight???
No one can imagine a good destiny?
On the upside – I LOVE the silver sea, the look off the Treader, and the great costumes and sets that shine through. Great book in the Magician's house!

  33. Waleed Sajjad Khan says:

I JUST WATCHED IT FOR LIKE THE 6TH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN'T GET TO SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. Aslan's Country says:

    EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, seriously, I can only squeal.
It looks so amazing.. really different from the other two, and it definitely seems like they're trying to go for 'magic'. Still managed to get that tagline in though.. O_o
Surprised we didn't see Gael.. hmm.
They didn't really focus on Eustace that much.
BUT I've only seen it twice and right now I'm freaking out.
This looks amazing. Can't wait for more footage.. and of course.. Dec. 10th!!

  35. 8SilverSky says:

http://www.Narnia.com has been updated too! It's awesome!

  36. Fire Fairy says:

Okay, I've seen it two more times now, and I have a few more things to say. It looks like our suspicions about the WW are correct in that she appears to Edmund on the Dark Island. It also seems that Edmund is going through the same insecurities about being treated like a kid as Peter did in PC. Which probably explains why the WW tempts him with the prospect of being her king. Also, I almost wonder if what Lilliandil says–"The fate of Narnia rests in your hands"–has something to do with the "unfathomable fate" rumor and with the reason Caspian goes to world's end (not exactly happy about that, but, oh, well). Oh, and btw, fantasia_kitty, I'm pretty sure the line about "this place just gets weirder and weirder" is said by Eustace, not the Chief Dufflepud. It has a distinct British accent to it, and is more logical when Eustace says it.

  37. Veldie says:

    Wooww… I can't wait!

  38. Fire Fairy says:

My thoughts exactly. Ditto on all of the points you mentioned.

  39. ZBeebs says:

Notice how the White Witch has a distinctly green tinge, particularly her eyes, not to mention the greenish white tendrils immediately preceding her? A hint of things to come?

  40. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

The only part I'm uneasy about is Caspian being at the world's end. Why is he there? They must then have changed what Aslan told Caspian on the ship. Perhaps Aslan will send him back?
Well I'll just wait to see what you all have to say when everyone gets a chance to comment on it. Besides that I'm not going to let it bring down any of my excitement, I'm still very happy!!

  41. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

Atleast I know I'm not the only one watching it over and over!

  42. Beginte says:

I enjoyed the trailer very, very much – positively epic! The only thing is, I'm worried about how little Caspian there seems to be in all the promotional material we've seen so far, and to me it was always Caspian's oddyssey, journey of self-discovery and a test as a leader outside his land… oh, well, I hope the film will have more Caspian than the promos!

  43. HighQueen_Of_LanternWaste says:

Good point. Foreshadowing of some sort?

  44. Aravyn says:

WHAT!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! This can't be happening! They're going to change Edmund like they changed Peter in the last movie, and he's going to be all, "I want to be king.I should be king. I want to live in the past. And because I say I want it, it should happen!" Everyone loved how Edmund was the one who stood against the Witch in the last movie, and now all that's going to be completely contradicted in this movie. Speaking of which, why did they even include her in this movie anyway?
Apart from that, though, I like this trailer very much!

  45. Fire Fairy says:

    Ooooo, good point.

  46. RuralNarniaFan says:

Lol, my family and I watched it 6 times too. 😀

  47. TTW says:

    Thanks a Loooooooooooooooot!!!
    XD

  48. Fire Fairy says:

Was it just me, or did anyone else think the logo at the end of the trailer looked like it was made out of dragon scales?

  49. Daniel says:

AMAZING, though they mention almost nothing about the actual plot line, but thats cool. and, oh my goodness, our little Georgie is growing up to be one beautiful young lady!

  50. Odette says:

I think that it's Eustace who says, "This place just gets weirder and weirder."

YAY! it's here! anyone know yet if the 3D Toy Story 3 has a 3D trailer?

  51. Follower of Aslan says:

yes! It seems like it. Forgot to mention that. Very observant of you Odette…

  52. Girts says:

It seems the story is changend again. Lets hops its for good and my favorite Narnia tale will not be ruined.

  53. Follower of Aslan says:

I think they are made to look like the cobblestones that make up a village we might encounter when seeing the movie…. on one of the Three Lone Islands, perhaps?

  54. GPLovesNarnia says:

Has anyone seen the new Narnia.com website?
They just changed it for the trailer. 😀

  55. Sugar Mouse says:

    It's absolutely amazing!
    Where can I download it?

  56. thyservant says:

WOW, THAT'S GREAT! Even though I'm in the mainland of China, I've managed to get the trailer! I believe this is going to be a great film, especially in the days of CHRISTMAS!!!

  57. Timo says:

I had tears in my eyes at the book-part.. It's so magical.. and the silver sea is perfect!!! ^^ it looks even more beautiful as I ever imagined! ^^
The white witch will be on the dark island.. Hope she doesnt come back after that.. But I'm really confused why there are shots of peter and susan at the end..

  58. coracle says:

    NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
The White Witch is NOT going green. (just seagreen looking here)

  59. Christiandi says:

    so AMAZING!!!!!
