The First Dawn Treader Movie Poster
NarniaWebber ‘LucyP0104’ has just sent us a snapshot of the first The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Movie Poster. The tagline reads: “Return to MAGIC, Return to HOPE, Return to NARNIA.” Notice the reflection of the Dawn Treader in Aslan’s eye.

Why do you imply that someone can't enjoy both Narnia and Avatar? Do you honestly think that being a fan of one fandom must mean that you dislike all other fandoms? I happened to enjoy Avatar, and I enjoy Narnia and LOTR and Harry Potter as well. This sort or attitude "Narnia is the best, all other franchises suck!" is really childish and ridiculous.

Even though I dig the poster, I think Fox is trying, for whatever reason, to pick up the hype from their Winter release from last year. Of course, I mean Avatar. It took me a while to put two and two together, but marketing teams at 20th Century Fox must love their *extreme close ups of the face of the iconic character.

Love the 1st poster! Love all the Narnian comments. I'm also hoping for Lewis faithfulness! If they could just lock the screenwriters in a room with nothing but the VotD book & bread & water. And not let them out until they get it, love it & will echo it! Not rewrite it (like PC)!

agreed. i actually really liked PC. just as much as LWW. i think they should make the movie just a little different, so u have SOME surprises. of course i didnt like the caspian/susan deal at all, and hope they dont do that again. 馃檨 but that dosnt mean i dont LOOOOVE the books! 馃榾 Sail on VDT!!

I love the thought that Aslan is always watching over the Dawn Treader… is that what the poster is implying, perhaps?
I do dislike how '3D' is bolder and bigger than the rest of the text. It doesn't really matter, though.

In Rilian's words, I had my first "real geek moment". lol *SPAZ* Yay!! I do think my favorite part-at first and still-is the ship in the reflection of his eye =) And after my initial freak-out, I've only gotten more excited-I'm very encouraged by the way that they compare Narnia to "magic" and "hope", rather than "epicness", "action", or "cinematic battles"!! It's heartening to see, even in the first advertisements, that-from the looks of it-they seem to be keeping well to the theme of VDT.
This is a very cool poster>>>i love how it is so simple because it is so much more cool just to have a picture of Aslan than a distracting mirage of different characters and places. That's what Narnia is all about, Aslan, right? And Reepicheep is very cute, and actually i don't think he is distracting at all. I am so excited for VDT to come out:: i hope it surpasses everything we have hoped for it to be!!!! and i REALLY hope the CGI affects for Aslan RETURN to how amazing they were in the LWW, NOT how horrible they became in PC.
