FotF’s “The Screwtape Letters” Radio Drama Available

We reported recently that Focus on the Family was making a radio drama of Lewis’s “The Screwtape Letters” starring Andy Serkis. Our own DiGoRyKiRkE managed to get ahold of a copy and said it was fantastic. If you would like to purchase or just read more about the radio drama, you can do so at the NarniaWeb Marketplace here. Thanks to H.M. Swanwhite and 220ChrisTian re:AslansCountry.com for sending this story in!

I found it on Amazon just a little while before I got on NarniaWeb. There are 9 reviews, all of which are 5 stars. I would love to get it!

  7. Mark Friedrich says:

Sounds like some of you who are Focus on the Family fans.

  8. Fire Fairy says:

I think I'll read the book first. (I know, a fan of Narnia who hasn't read The Screwtape Letters…it's pretty pathetic). But that's really cool!

  9. Fire Fairy says:

    Translation, anyone?

  10. Me Sa U Sa says:

From my translation he said: I'm glad that this movie is now missing that everyone of their movie many thanks bye

  11. Mark Sommer says:

Mark Friedrich: You don't have to be a fan of Focus on the Family to appreciate this dramatization. FotF Radio Theatre also produced the Chronicles of Narnia series some years back. Here's what Greg Wright form Hollywood Jesus said about that series: "…if you're leery of this adaption because of the Focus on the Family connection, don't be. McCusker's calling is art, not politics or evangelism." http://hollywoodjesus.com/comments/greg/2005/06/narnia-radio-broadcast.html

  12. Mark Friedrich says:

I've got the Focus on the family dramatization of the enire Chronicles of Narnia Series.

  13. Mark Friedrich says:

I wouldn't say that, For someone who believes in God, sometime it's good to see what a non-christion says.

  14. Bookwyrm says:

    Huh?

  15. Princess Arya says:

Actually, I haven't read it either. But just knowing it's Andy Serkis in the radio drama is enough to get me to!
It's a bunch of letters…a demon named Screwtape writing to his nephew Wormwood on how to take down the human he has been assigned to. That's basically the basics!

  16. Mark Friedrich says:

I'm just saying what I heard.

  17. LadyChristythenoble says:

Yeah they are good. BTW focas on the family radio theater has a program and right now they are featuring the Screwtape Letters. They are on 94.5 FM (Wdac) every Saturday at 2:00 PM

  18. Fire Fairy says:

Are you saying that I'm not Christian? Or C.S. Lewis? I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

By the way, if you were talking about me, yes, I'm Christian. If you were talking about Lewis, I'm pretty sure he was Christian as well.

  19. TheScribblingScribe says:

Indeed, I am πŸ˜€ I have the entire Chronicles of Narnia radio drama, as well as ones like Ben Hur, Les Miserables, and the Legend of Squanto. They are all amazing!

  20. MurtaghLuv says:

    Cool I think.

  21. Princess Arya says:

Actually I was talking to Fire Fairy when they said they'd never read the Screwtape Letters. πŸ™‚

Are you talking about Screwtape, Mark? The demon who wrote it? (Well, who C.S. Lewis says wrote it. *winks*) No, Screwtape is not Christian.

Tell me if I'm wrong, I think I may get what you were trying to say. I'm not saying I agree or disagree necessarily, but were you trying to say that it's good to see it from a different point of view once in a while, like instead of from the Christian standpoint, the standpoint of someone who hates Christianity?

  22. Princess Arya says:

    Ah, do you like Eragon?
