‘Narnia: The Exhibition’ Heads to Kansas City
According to the Kansas City Star, ‘Narnia: the Exhibition’ will make its next stop at the Kansas City Union Station this May.
Narnia opens May 22 and runs just three months through Aug. 23.
Tickets for Narnia go on sale today. Union Station is announcing the exhibit with an e-mail blast of a movie trailer-style promotion, which pops up when you go to the Web site at unionstation.org.
Kansas City is only the third venue for the Narnia exhibit and the only one in the Midwest, so Union Station will be marketing it regionally.
The exhibit has been a disappointment at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, where it is nearing the close of a 20-week run. Exact attendance numbers were not immediately available Tuesday, but Marketing Coordinator Anna Gary said they were dramatically below expectations.
“It could be because of the economy or maybe there’s a small Narnia fan group in Philadelphia,” Gary said.
The Narnia exhibit will occupy 10,000 square feet of space in Union Station’s lower level.
