The Kilns to Receive Plaque in Honor of Lewis
The Kilns, Lewis’ home in Risinghurst where he wrote the Chronicles of Narnia, will be decorated Saturday with a commemorative plaque in honor of the famous author. The C. S. Lewis Foundation hopes that the plaque will help tourists more easily find Lewis’ home of 33 years. The plaque will be erected by the Oxfordshire Blue Plaques Board, which has erected 40 such plaques at other authors’ home, including J. R. R. Tolkien’s residence on Northmoor Road.
