Disney Hosts A ‘Weekend In Narnia’
This weekend, the Disney Channel Movie Surfers hosted a “Weekend In Narnia” with sneak peeks from Prince Caspian. Simultaneously, Disney affiliate, ABC, presented the broadcast premier of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe also with sneak peeks. The Weekend in Narnia will continue Sunday night.

During commercial breaks of the LWW network premiere, the cast introduced a new behind-the-scenes video, and a clip of Caspian meeting Reepicheep (YouTube link):

It’s also interesting to note that for TV, they edited the film so that the final scene with Lucy and Professor Kirke came right after he said “try me.” View it here.

One of the Disney Channel clips was the scene where Caspian and Peter meet for the first time. The clip is one minute long. The ABC clip introduced Reepicheep to Prince Caspian who was running from a group of Telmarines with Trufflehunter and Nikabrik.

It begins with Lucy walking and she hears a grunt growl and thinks it is Aslan. Peter comes up from behind her and covers her mouth and they both duck behind a bush only to fins it was a minatour. Peter gets his sword out and begins to apporch the minatour when out of nowhere Caspian comes and they swing swords getting Peter’s stuck in a tree, then Caspian kicks Peter down, Caspian gets his sword, Peter gets a rock and before they blow Lucy comes running in. They stop and stare while Narnians from everywhere come. Then Susan is like “Peter!” and enter Susan, Edmund, and Trumpkin. Then they stop oh this is when the Narnians come. Then Peter is like “Prince Caspian?” And there is abit more dialouge before he is like “Your not what I expected” and he looks at Susan then Edmund is like “Neither are you”. Then Reepicheep comes in and has some dialouge. Lucy leans into Susan and is like “He’s so cute!” Then Reepicheep is offended and starts saying more noble descriptions. then Peter and Caspian talk and they seem to dislike eachother right off. Caspian was like “I thought you woudl be older” and Peter is like “then we will come back ina few years”. Caspian figures out its Peter by of course Peter’s sword, which he is holding then he gives it back (then Peter gives him his sword at the end as confirmed by that picture) Of course there is wonderful HGW score and Trufflehunter speaks!!!

Georgie: Hey! It’s Georgie and Skandar back for more of our behind the scenes look at the next adventure The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian.
PETER MOUNTS A RUNNING HORSE. LUCY SMILES AT THE SIGHT OF THE CENTAURS LINED UP AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE HOUW. EDMUND SITS DOIWN AT THE TRAIN STATION. TRUFFLEHUNTER HOLDS THE HORN. PETER ROWS THE BOAT.
Skandar: The film begins when the magical horn calls us back to Narnia.
WIDE SHOT OF THE DANCING LAWN. DAYLIGHT SHOT OF SUSAN LOOKING TOWARDS THE CAMERA. GEORGIE TALKING.
Georgie: But the Narnia we return to is 1300 years older and much of the magic has been destroyed.
CASPIAN BLOWS THE HORN AND THE SOUND ECHOS OVER TWO SUCCESSIVE SHOTS. THE PEVENSIES AT THE TRAIN STATION. THE PEVENSIES COME THROUGH THE CAVE OUT ONTO THE BEACH. PETER SMILING AS HE REALIZES WHERE THEY ARE.
Edmund Voice Over: Where do you suppose we are?
Peter: Where do you think?
NIGHT SHOT OF FLYING GRYPHONS. TWO MICE AT NIGHT. SCENE SWITCHES TO THE FOREST DURING THE DAY. LUCY LEANS IN TOWARDS SUSAN TO TELL HER SOMETHING. REEPICHEEP PULLS HIS SWORD IN FRONT OF THE QUEENS. LUCY LOOKS EMBARRASSED.
Lucy: He is so cute.
Reepicheep: Who said that?!
Lucy: Sorry.
THE PEVENSIES AT ASLANS HOW. ADAMSON TALKING.
AdamsonL The four Pevensie children quickly learn that Narnia is not the place that they remember.
OVERHEAD SHOT OF THE PEVENSIES OPENING THEIR TRUNKS IN THE TREASURE CHAMBER. PETER PULLS HIS SWORD FROM ITS SHEATH FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1300 YEARS.
Peter: I think it’s time we found out what went on here.
SUSAN AND LUCY TURN AROUND TOWARDS PETER. THE LIGHTING OF THE CARVING ROOM INSIDE ASLANS HOW. CASPIAN PULLS HIS SWORD IN FRONT OF THE ASLAN CARVING. THE PEVENSIES IN ASLAN’S HOW. CLOSE UP OF CASPIAN ON HORSEBACK.
Caspian: I am Prince Caspian.
TELMARINE MONTAGE. MIRAZ AND PRUNAPRISMA WALK AWAY FROM THE CAMERA. ANNA TALKING.
Anna: The Telmarines have taken over Narnia. It’s no longer a safe place for talking animals and creatures to be.
SHOT OF TRUFFLEHUNTER AND NIKABRIK. GLENSTORM AND THE OTHER OLD NARNIANS COME OUT OF THE TREES.
Caspian: Together, we can take back what is ours.

William: I think the audience is going to be very, very surprised at what Narnia they see this time.

Georgie: I think it brings a new sense of action-adventure. There are more characters and you feel their emotions more.
