Ralph Winter Gives ’Screwtape’ Update

It was announced earlier this month that Walden Media plans to produce a big screen adaptation of CS Lewis’ 1942 book, “The Screwtape Letters.” Now Ralph Winter (co-producer) has given Infuze Magazine an update on the project. Winter says, “With the right script, dealing with temptation and that whole upside down world, it could be a very, very interesting movie. And it’s going to be dark. This isn’t a light, happy, Narnia piece.” Winter believes that the CS Lewis name alone should be enough to draw people into theaters. “We’ve been telling people that for years, and they wouldn’t believe it. And now that Narnia has happened, they’re a lot more open to it.” Read the full interview here (scroll down to read about Screwtape).
