Rotorua Scouted for Narnia Locations
The Rotorua Daily Post (New Zealand) is reporting that scouts for Prince Caspian have recently been visiting the Rotorua area. Volcanic Locations manager Kevin Rowell is not able to confirm anything at present, but says that there has been recent interest in Rotorua as a backdrop for more than one upcoming film.
This news arrives hot on the heels of an announcement that Prince Caspian is heading for the forests of Europe. Earlier this year we received reports of scouts scouring counties in Ireland for various Prince Caspian locations. This further increases speculation that Prince Caspian may be shot in more than one location around the world, as was the case with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It was also filmed in both New Zealand and Europe.

UPDATE: NarniaWeb can reveal that location scouts have approached land owners in the Flock Hill area over the past few weeks. Flock Hill was the major battle location in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. In Prince Caspian a battle occurs at Beruna, the place of the battle in the first book.
