Adamson to Produce ‘Tortoise & Hippo’

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Adamson, director of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, is in final negotiations to produce “Tortoise and Hippo” for Walden Media and Relevant Entertainment. The live-action and photo-real computer-animated film will, like Narnia, present stylized animals existing in a human world. Two-time Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor John Dykstra will direct. Dykstra said Adamson’s success on “Narnia” helped open the door for Dykstra to consider better scripts. Producers are aiming for a 2007 release. Read the full story here.
