Q: Can you send me email and mailing addresses for Andrew Adamson and any of the actors? Q: When was Prince Caspian released?A: WORLDWIDE PREMIERE: Ziegfeld Theater, New York City — 7 May 2008
Q: What is this movie rated?A: Prince Caspian was rated PG in the U.S. for "Epic Battle Action and Violence." The film was rated PG in the UK and M in Australia and New Zealand.
Q: How long is this movie?A: The run time is 2 hours and 27 minutes from the beginning of the film to the end of the credits. Without credits it is approximately 2 hours and 17 minutes.
Q: Are the same actors and producers back?A: The four actors playing the Pevensies reprised their roles, and many of the key production staff returned. There was, however, a complete change in computer graphics companies. Moving Picture Company (in London), Framestore CFC, and Weta Digital did the CG this time around. See our cast and crew list for more information on who was involved in this film.
Q: How much did it cost to make this movie?A: The general estimate is around $200 million.
Q: Was 'Prince Caspian' filmed in New Zealand like the first film?A: The production shot in New Zealand for 5 – 6 weeks, filmed a few scenes in Poland, and finished in the Czech Republic. Post-production took place in England.
Q: How old were the Pevensies and Caspian supposed to be in this movie?A: The production stated that the Pevensies were supposed to be about a year and a half older in Prince Caspian than they were in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Therefore, Peter is about 16/17, Susan 15, Edmund 14, and Lucy 10. Caspian's age was derived from the line in the book which describes Peter seeing a boy (referring to Caspian) about his own age. Ben Barnes was cast as Caspian because he looked around the same age as Will Moseley.
Q: Why didn't they do 'The Horse and His Boy'? Isn’t that the next book in the series?A: When HarperCollins took over the publishing, it re-ordered the series chronologically, placing The Horse and His Boy as the third book in the series, directly after The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. But The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was actually the first book to be published. According to Douglas Gresham, they are making the films in "the most logically consistent order for filming." For more information on the ordering of the series, please click here to read Andrew Rilestone’s excellent article on the pros and cons of both the chronological and publication orders.
Q: Will all the Narnia books be made into movies eventually?A: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is scheduled for release on May 7, 2010. The Silver Chair has not been officially greenlit yet, but the filmmakers intend to make that film next, and hope to eventually produce all seven.
Q: Can you send me email and mailing addresses for Andrew Adamson and any of the actors?A: We are not able to provide members of the general public with email contact information for the actors or producers of the film, but we do have some mailing addresses you may use to contact some of the castmembers. These addresses are from FanMail.biz. Click here and scroll down for mailing instructions.
